Namaste... literally it means, "I bow to you". It is I believe, a way we can consciously treat others the way we would like to be treated, by acknowledging the divine in them.
I was amazed while preparing this list that diet and supplements didn't even make my top ten. I'm certain that it would make my top fifteen. This surprised me because I have been drawn to food and herbal based healing for more than 3 decades and I personally advocate to all my patients, that improving the diet is an essential part of natural healing. But while our need for clean food and nutrients has never been more vital, they can never contribute as much to a healthy being as the philosophical groundwork on which these principals are based. Thoughts and actions far out weight the influence food (either good or bad) has on our health. This in no way contradicts past articles that I have written concerning the importance of a good diet. I just wanted to reflect for a moment on the really big picture.
